Songs You Hear in Spin
We love Spin! If you do too, join us on our journey as we tell the stories of songs we hear in class. We hope to make you laugh, cry and get inspired on the way. This ain't your mom's Tupperware party.

TGIF
It's hump day, which usually sucks, but not this morning. Our instructor bumped the remix of "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" by Katy Perry featuring Missy Elliott.
It's crazy how good music and endorphins can alter your mood. I'm fired up for the long weekend and can't wait to party!!!

Injuries Suck
Sorry for the hiatus, folks. I suffered a leg injury about a month ago, but got the OK to return to Spin earlier this week. I think it's only fitting that Natasha Bedingfield's "Pocketful of Sunshine" was one of the songs that stood out in this morning's 6am class.
Have a blessed day!

Rolling in the reek
Note to all spin instructors: no matter how much you can relate to this song, do NOT, under any circumstances, sing along to this song in class. My heart can't take it, and neither can anyone's ears at 6 in the morning.
Thank you.
Thank you.

King of Anything
Sara Bareilles has one of this generations great pop voices. And this song is her crowning achievement in my opinion. The spin instructor had a dance version of this song pumping this morning during a climbing portion of the program, and the bass pumping from the dance version helped me push through and feel real great about it too. I love when I hear a song in spin class that I wouldn't normally think to play in that setting, but it's so catchy that you know someone had to do it.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find the exact version I heard on youtube, but here is the original mix, which is just as endorphin-inducing. Happy Wednesday ya'll!

Cool Down
This is my favorite part of class. A sense of accomplishment sets in. This morning, "Arthur's Theme" by Christopher Cross played. It reminded me of two things: my childhood and my favorite city in the world.
For a few precious moments in my crazy life, it was nice to feel comfortable and free.
